

TAYLOR, LINDA SCHRAMM 56, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 13, 2012 at her home in Homewood, AL. Linda graduated from Sheffield High School in 1977. She received her Bachelor degree from Auburn University, as well as multiple Master Degree's in Education from UAB. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Alpha and numerous professional/educational organizations. Linda was employed by the Birmingham Board of Education for 35 years where she touched the lives and many gifted and special needs children. Linda was a loving wife, daughter, sister, friend and co-worker. We were all so blessed to have had her in our lives. She will be forever loved and missed by everyone she knew. Linda was preceded in death by her father Kenneth Eugene Schramm, her mother and father in law: Eddie and Merle Taylor. Linda is survived by her husband, William Roy Taylor; mother: Vera Minelli Schramm; brother: Douglas Paul Schramm; sisters: Diane Schramm Alexander (Jamey), and Anita Schramm Conner (Billy); aunts: Miki Minelli Beno and Delores Schramm Garastik; niece and nephews: Todd Alexander, Nic Alexander, Will Conner, and Katelyn Conner Chilcott (Matthew). Also surviving Linda are sister and brother in laws, Linda and Don Benett, Charles Taylor, and Tony and Barbara Taylor, special cousin Diane and Tony Milazzo, aunts Dot Mizerany, Doris Gustin, and Edwina Zales (Bill), nieces and nephew in laws Brian Bennett, Kenny Bennett, Madeline Taylor and Matthew Taylor. She is also survived by numerous cousins, dear friends and cherished co-workers. Visitation will be at Ridout's Valley Chapel on Oxmoor Road Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM followed by an Incense Service at 7:00 PM. Mass will be Wednesday morning at 10:00 at St. Elias Catholic Church, with burial at Jefferson Memorial on Highway 150 in Hoover. Pallbearers will be Doug Schramm, Will Conner, Todd Alexander, Nic Alexander, Jason Milazzo, and Andy Milazzo. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to organizations close to Linda's heart which are Camp Smile-A-Mile, St. Elias Catholic Church and Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.
