
Louise was a graduate of Dora High School and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she earned her MBA. She was a member of Canterbury United Methodist Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution (Princess Sehoy Chapter). Louise loved researching genealogy, the fine arts, and was a doting Mamie to her grandchildren. Spending time with Milton and her family was her greatest joy.
Louise was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years James Milton Hogland, parents Elmer Henry Young and Bessie Lee Young, sister Bonnie Young, and brother Harold Lee Young. Survivors include her son, James M. Hogland, Jr. (Ashley); daughter, Aimee Louise Hogland; grandson, James Cross Hogland; granddaughter, Meredith Kimbrell Hogland; sister, Janice Young Wilson (Michael); sister in law, Georgia Young; cousin Don Clark (Candice), other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held in the parlor at Canterbury United Methodist Church on Saturday June 3, 2023 from 10:00-11:30 a.m., and a private inurnment shall be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Canterbury United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
