Louise was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend to many. She was the quintessential southern lady throughout her entire life, always involved in charities, her church circle, financial, social, dance, historical and garden clubs. Louise grew up in the small town of Lincoln, AL where she learned a lot about business from her father and mother, helping run their family drug store and serving up ice cream. She loved her childhood in Lincoln. She had a yearning to always be learning and math was one of her favorite subjects. She graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Home Economics studying textiles. She was a member of the Chi Omega sorority and lead numerous efforts to establish chapters at other universities being a role model and mentor to many members of the sorority.
Louise was co-owner of The Lingerie Shoppe in Mountain Brook Village and built a successful business providing the Birmingham area with the finest women’s clothing and proudly offered exceptional customer service. Louise had an extreme love for traveling around the world and loved sharing her experiences with others. She always cherished simple gatherings with family and friends, as well. She never met a stranger, and nothing was any trouble for her to help whenever you needed her. When she threw a party, you could be sure it was the most elegant party even if she were serving just a barbeque dinner. She was the perfect hostess to all. The legacy she leaves is unparalleled and she will be deeply missed.
