It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lynn Holman Brown, who left us peacefully on January 18, 2025. Born on December 23, 1954, she was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend. She was a bright light in our lives, full of creativity, warmth, and an endless ability to make things beautiful—whether through her work as a nurse, her art, or the love she gave to those around her.
Lynn was preceded in death by her mother, father, brother, and son, but she never stopped carrying them in her heart. She was the kind of person who could turn a simple moment into something memorable, and her creative energy touched everyone she met. Lynn had a way of making the world around her a little more colorful.
A dedicated nurse, Lynn devoted much of her life to caring for others. Her compassion, patience, and spirit made a lasting impact on countless lives.
She is survived by her daughter Allison Brown, her brother Kyle Holman (Christy), and her significant other Ron Gull, all of whom were blessed to experience the world through her unique perspective.
While we will miss her creativity, humor, and larger than life presence, her family finds comfort in knowing she is now reunited with those she had lost, and that her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched. In honoring her memory, we will carry forward the love, joy, and creativity she so freely gave to us all.
Friends are cordially invited to Elmwood Cemetery for the graveside service on Thursday, January 30th, at 2:00 p.m.
Rest in peace, Lynn. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
Services are under the direction of Ridout's Valley Chapel (205.879.3401) in Homewood.
