Margaret was born in Gadsden, Alabama on April 7, 1944 to Elizabeth and Sam Bloch. She attended local schools before graduating Phi Beta Kappa from Sweet Briar College where she was recognized as an accomplished pianist. She was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her two sons, Arthur Phirl Bagby IV and Hunter Martin Bagby (Leigh), and their children, William Clayton, Eleanor Elizabeth, Arthur Wesley, Benjamin Davis, and James Wallace. Margaret or Maggie as she was called by her many friends enjoyed tennis, travel, gardening and reading, and was a former active member of the Junior League of Birmingham. In her later years she was married to Dr. Henry Crommelin for whom she had great affection. Maggie above all loved people and was at ease in engaging any and every one in conversation. Honoring her wishes, the family will have a private graveside service in Gadsden.
