Margaret Zoe Harvey Bush

Zoe Bush Birmingham, AL Margaret Zoe Harvey Bush, 75, of Birmingham, died February 7, 2014. Zoe loved Jesus, loved children, enjoyed sports, and expressed compassion for those in need. She encouraged everyone to grow, showed hospitality to all she met, and had a zest for life. Born May 16, 1938, in Tylertown, MS, to Carroll Vance and Hilda Jane Wilkinson Harvey. Zoe was the valedictorian of Tylertown High School, 1956, and excelled in varsity basketball. An honors graduate of Millsaps College, 1960, she taught psychology and special education in public schools for many years. Married June 3, 1960, she is survived by her husband, the Rev. Arnold A. Bush, Jr., an Episcopal priest. She is also survived by five children, and ten grandchildren: Stephen Bush (Katherine) and John & Henry of Memphis, TN; Andrew Bush (Shannon), and Abigail, Cheyne & Sloane of Edwards, MS; David Bush (Helen) and Avery, Michaela & Zachary of Spanish Fort, AL; Margaret Bush Cassimus (John) and Catherine & Alex of Birmingham, AL; and Elizabeth Bush of Clinton, MS. She was preceded in death by her sister Mary Jane Lambert, of Jackson, MS. A memorial service will be held at St. Stephen's, Birmingham, on Tuesday, February 11, at 3 pm and followed by a reception. A burial liturgy and interment of ashes will be held at St. Peter's-by-the-Lake Episcopal Church in Brandon, MS on Sunday, February 16 at 3 pm. Memorials may be sent to St. Jude's, 200 N.
