Margaret A. Pittman

PITTMAN, MARGARET ADAMS, died October 16, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, Treton Earle and Maude Godfrey Adams and a brother Trenton Earle Adams, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Walter Gay Pittman; son, Walter Coleman Pittman (Liz); grand daughter, Jennifer Pittman. Other survivors include a sister - in - law, Ruth Adams of Pensacola, FL and a sister - in - law, Anita Crabtree (Bill) Geneva, Al; special cousin, Shirley McDonald (Johnny) Anniston, Al and many nieces and nephews. Margaret was a graduate of Anniston High School where she was a Homecoming Queen and Maid of Cotton. She was a graduate of the University of Alabama where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and Corolla Beauty. She was a lifetime supporter of the University of Alabama. A school teacher and later a homemaker, she and Dr. Pittman were married for 50 years. As a remembrance of Margaret's life, her family invites all her friends to celebration on her 74th birthday, Friday, October 29, 5:30 to 8:00 at the Birmingham Botanical Garden Cafe.
