Marilyn’s greatest joy in life was being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will forever be remembered by her family for always being present to her loved ones. She was a lover of world travel and was blessed to have taken many trips with her husband after retirement. Marilyn also had a great love for the beach and spent many happy vacations there with her children and grandchildren.
She was a faithful believer in Our Lord Jesus Christ, and was a parishioner of St Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Hoover, Alabama.
She is preceded in death by loving husband of 60 years, William Earle Johnson Jr. She is survived by her five children: Mary Katherine Thompson, William Earle Johnson lll (DJ), Marilyn Melissa Milan ( John), Michael McAllister Johnson and Peter Hanlon Johnson, her eight grandchildren: Norman Thompson, Michael Thompson, Julia Wynne (Drew), Allison Creps (Austin), William Johnson, Will Milan, Emily Milan and Caitlin Milan, and her one great grandchild, Corey Thompson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church 2061 Patton Chapel Road, Hoover, AL. 35216 on Tuesday, January 15th at 10:00 am with Rev, Thomas M. Kelly F.C.T.L. presiding, The immediate family will receive relatives and friends preceding the Mass at 9:00, Internment will follow the Mass at Elmwood cemetery.
