A celebration of the life of Dr. Mark Kidd and visitation service will be held for Dr. Kidd on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Ridouts Valley Chapel in Homewood, AL, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. He loved hunting, fishing, and the outdoors of his farm in Harpersville, AL. He will be sorely missed by his family, his many friends, and the clients who loved him. Interment will follow the visitation on October 6, 2021, at the Kidd Family Cemetery in Harpersville, AL. All who wish to attend are welcome. Dr. Kidd was born in Opelika, AL, and graduated from Mountain Brook High School. He attended Auburn University, receiving his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. He owned two successful veterinary clinics in Vestavia and Shelby County, and he absolutely loved being a vet. He enjoyed meeting new clients and their pets and was always a great listener. He was so proud of his son, Jack, the third generation of the Kidd family to attend Auburn University. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Mandy Rowell Kidd, his son Jack Wayne Kidd, his father Jack (Sharon) Whitson Kidd, brother Brant (Gail) Kidd, uncles, nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother Faye Durham Kidd and his brother Alan Douglas Kidd.
