Mary Virginia Pettey Moore, age 76 of Birmingham, Alabama, and formerly of Meridian, Mississippi, went home to be with the Lord on January 24, 2017. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Kenneth Moore, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas C. Pettey (Rosa Frances). Ms. Moore is survived by her daughter, Isabel Moore Corley (Phillip), and grandsons, John, Beck, and Sam; daughter, Carol Lewis Fletcher (Brent), and grandson, Brad; sister, Leneal Massey (Hookey), brother, Joe Pettey (Judy). Visitation will be Friday, January 27, 2017, at 1:00, immediately followed by a memorial service at 2:00 at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church.
