

Mary Marjorie Warmack, beloved mother, went to be with the Lord on Jnuary 30, 2012 at the age of 91. "Marjorie" was Born on December 20, 1920 in Birmingham, Alabama, where she spent her entire life. Raised during the Depression years by her Grandmother, she developed an early appreciation for the importance of family. A devoted mother to three daughters and one son, she made it her life's work to raise her children with a selfless passion.
Married to Wesley Arthur Warmack in 1941, she was a dedicated and faithful wife until his death in 1971.
She was intimately involved in the formation of the Shades Mountain Athletic Association in the mid 1960's where she was a fixture in little league concession stands and at fund raisers to the direct benefit of the kids, whom she viewed as a mere extension of her own family.
In 1971 she began a 20 year career with Reynold's Pharmacy on Oxmoor Road in Homewood, where she forged lasting friendships that she valued until her death. Everyone with whom she came in contact at Reynold's were beneficiaries of her cheery disposition, loving heart and kind manner.
Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Carolyn James and son in law Tommy James, her daughter Gail Thompson and son in law Jack Thompson, her daughter Susan Davis all of Birmingham and her son Rick Warmack of Burbank, California. She also leaves a beautiful legacy of 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A visitation period will be held on Tuesday January 31,2012 at 11:00 AM followed immediately by a memorial service at 12:00 PM at Ridouts Valley Chapel in Homewood. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Meals on Wheels by using www.mowaa.org. Specific tribute donations can be made with a notification sent to: 416 Yorkshire Drive.
