Mayme was born on November 20, 1922 to George and Nettie B. Norton. She married the love of her life on August 6, 1940 William S. “Bill” Coleman. Mayme was a charter member of the Church of the Good Sheppard in Anniston, Alabama where she also served as choir director and organist. She and Bill moved to Pell City in 1981 when he retired so they could be on the lake.
Mayme was preceded in death by her husband Bill Coleman, her daughter Eugenia Coleman and her sister Nettigene Linder. She is survived by her loving daughter Linda Coleman and by several nieces and nephews. Linda would like to thank all the staff of Greenbriar at the Altmont for all their living care of her mom.
The Funeral Service will be November 27th at 10:00 a.m. with visitation 1 hour prior at Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood, AL. Burial will follow at Edgemont Cemetery in Anniston, AL.
