

Born in Birmingham, Alabama on December 10, 1956, Mike was the son of the late William Thomas Adams and Margaret Jean Ash Adams. He was a graduate of Woodlawn High School and earned his B.S. degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Mike served his country for 27 years in the Alabama Army National Guard, the 20th Special Forces Group, the 200th Engineering Battalion, and retired at Sergeant First Class. A member of Crestway Baptist Church, Mike loved to dove hunt and was a member of Lake George Fishing Club and the Birmingham Jaycees. He was employed with the Board of Equalization in Jefferson County for 7 years.
Mike is survived by his cousins, Michelle Ash Baskerville, William R. "Randy" Ash, and Melanie Margaret Baskerville.
Friends are cordially invited to the visitation and reception on Monday, the 2nd of March, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, the 3rd of March, at Ridout's Valley Chapel located at 1800 Oxmoor Road, Homewood, Alabama 35209. Reverend Jimmy Wilson of Crestway Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Odenville, Alabama.
Serving as pallbearers will be Don Dudchock, Anthony Smith, Bill Abadin, Art Meadows, Clark Smith, Scott Baker, and Don Handly.
