Michael Wayne Thompson, age 62, of Gadsden died on April 29, 2014. He was Chief Executive Officer of Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospital in Gadsden. He is survived by wife, Dianne Gilchrist Thompson; daughters, Collenn Lochamy and Ashley Killion (Cooper); grandchildren, Lyla Lochamy and Liam Lochamy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Taft and Winnie Thompson. A memorial Service will be 1:00 Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Ridout’s Valley Chapel in Homewood, AL. A reception, to celebrate Mike’s life, will be held in the parlor following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks all to consider the “gift of life” by becoming an organ donor.
