Michael B. Walls

Mike was known for his kind heart, humble spirit and his love for others.

Mike was a man of strong character and integrity, both in his professional and personal life.

Mike was a certified mediator/arbitrator with Upchurch Watson White & Max Mediation Group from 2004 until his illness in 2023. Mike graduated from the University of Alabama, Birmingham and the J.D. Birmingham School of Law (Magna Cum Laude).

Mike’s work in the ADR field has been favorably recognized in the “Best Lawyer” publications for Birmingham and nationally as well. He is a fellow in the Alabama Academy of Attorney Mediators.

Mike is survived by his children: Michael D. Walls (Walton) and Natalie Walls (Brad Belcher); his siblings: Tommy Walls (Love), Donna Walls Ballard, James Walls (Faye), Gary Walls (Robin) and David Walls (Terri). Mike is also survived by his beloved grandsons, Jack and Callen Walls. Mike’s family included many special nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille Burgess Walls and William A. Walls.

Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, December 12th from 2pm – 4pm at Ridout’s Valley Chapel in Homewood, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mike Walls’ memory to Brother Bryan Mission or The Foundry Ministries.
