

Milton S. Miller, 85, died peacefully at Princeton Baptist Hospital on Saturday, January 21, 2012. He was the oldest of four brothers born in Mississippi and reared in Washington County, in South Alabama. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, and after being honorably discharged, eventually settled in Homewood, Alabama, where he dedicated his life to his wife of 60 years, Icy Miller (89), and his twin children, Roger Dale Miller and Barbara June Clark (Allen) and to his extended family. Milton was a humble, giving and unselfish man, who was committed to his family, his community, his country and his God. He is survived by his wife and two children, and two brothers Sid (Betty) and Ulmer (Clara). Milton is preceded in death by his brother Ben Miller ( Billie) . Milton’s intelligence, guidance, sharp wit, kind and gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew him. He did not know how to take, only how to give.
There will be a funeral service at the chapel of Ridout’s Valley Chapel on Tuesday, January 24,2012 at 11:00 AM with burial to follow at Shanghi Cemetery in Dora, AL. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Valley Chapel.
