

Lord Jesus Christ on February 15, 2022. She was born on August 17,
1934, in Autauga County to John and Maggie Ross. Nancy was the
youngest of three daughters and one son. Her family were farmers and
lived in a home built by her parents. It was a loving home and her
parents raised all of their children there. As a teen
Nancy was very active in school. She played basketball, loved being a
cheerleader and Homecoming Queen and graduated from Marbury High
School. She loved her friends and her community. Nancy is a member of
Pine Level Methodist Church where, as a teenager, she played the piano
for church services. Nancy was also involved with UMYF. Her dedication
to the church remained strong throughout her life.
In 1955 she married James L. Jones of Prairie, MS. By 1960,
they had moved to what is now the city of Hoover. By this time they had their
two children, Edward L. Jones and Nancy L. Jones. Nancy was a beloved neighbor and friend
to all who met her. She enjoyed bowling, golf and hosting her family
and friends. Nancy was a loving mother and grandmother. She had a love
for music and was an accomplished piano player. Nancy had a great
smile and laugh for which she will be remembered.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, John Alvin Ross and Maggie
Nixon Ross, her sisters, Dorothy Ross Daigneau, Gladys Ross Elliott
(Lawrence),her brother Jack Cyrus Ross (Frances), nephews, Billy
Daigneau, Jimmy Elliott and Glenn Ross.
Nancy is survived by her son, Edward Lowry Jones (Nancy Vice), her daughter
Nancy Leigh Jones, grandchildren, Taylor Lowry Jones (Courtney Perrin) and Maggie
Elizabeth Jones, Bradford Oliver Robertson (Allison Yancey), Heather
Nichole Robertson, great-grandson, Graham Vice Robertson, nieces Phyllis Freedlander, Jacquelyn "Jackie" Cosby, Angie Mishoe (Jim), Lisa Kellett, Beth Elliott, nephew, Gary Elliott (Joyce) and many great nieces and nephews and cousins and friends.
A visitation service will be held on Sunday, February 20th from 1:00- 2:00 pm
at Pine Level Methodist Church (Prattville, AL, County Road 109). A
memorial service will follow in church sanctuary at 2:00 pm followed
by a graveside service in the Pine Level Cemetery.
