Patricia (Pat) Lou Gee originally from Conneaut, Ohio passed peacefully on Saturday, January 29th. She was born on June 29, 1938 to the late Floyd and Florence Litwiler. She grew up in the area before marrying and moving to Warren, Ohio where she raised her children, Patrick and Kelly. While living in Warren, Pat enjoyed her family, friends and horses! She and her daughter Kelly spent many times together caring for their beloved horses.
Upon her divorce, she relocated to Texas. It was in Texas that she found her passion for work as a case worker for the State of Texas prison system. She served 25 years in this capacity. During her tenure there, Pat met many friends and was proud of the work and services she provided. She will be fondly remembered by the many people that she worked with there.
At retirement, Pat moved closer to her son Patrick and family in Atlanta to enjoy her retirement years. She spent much of her early retirement attending her grandkids sports and school functions. She attended many baseball games, dance, cheer, and golf events as well as school plays, chorus performances and awards nights. Pat never met a stranger and was known by many in the area who enjoyed hearing her stories of her time working in the prison system.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son Patrick and daughter-in-law, Cindy of Birmingham; their children Henry, Kristina and Amanda Gee (also of Birmingham); daughter Kelly Nicholas and her son Ryan Nicholas (of Texas); sisters Carol Baugher (Ashtabula) and Nela Ashley and her husband Ron (of Cleveland). She will always be remembered for her passion for God, her love for her family and friends and love of sports.
The family will have a private service at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family request that you make any donations to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
