

She was survived by her husband, Albert Chester (A.C); her three children Adam Alexander, Leslie Ann, Austin Charles, and their respective families; her sisters Barbara Alexander, and Julie Cage; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a loving a caring person who’s giving nature was felt worldwide. Although she may be gone from this world, the ministry of her life will live on for generations.
Peggy was born in Galveston, TX on January 20th, 1951, the youngest of three sisters. She went to college at Trinity in San Antonio, where she met A.C. She was a devoted wife and mother, running the house with efficiency, and love. She enjoyed gardening, riding a scooter, hiking, fly-fishing, tennis, and anything that could be done outdoors. Her quick wit, and friendly nature delighted everyone with whom she came in contact.
She was often found on the mission field, from Haiti to the Ukraine, but especially in her local community in Birmingham. In her last days, she insisted on continuing her Meals-On-Wheels Route, giving her time and energy caring for others.
A funeral service will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church on Nov 2nd at 11am, 65 Old Montgomery Highway in Homewood, with a reception and visitation to follow.
