Debra, I am so sorry to hear about Phillips' passing back in February, I just read about it on Facebook from friends of his in high school and I am shocked. Everybody loved Phillip. I went to Homewood High with Phillip and he was a dear friend to me and as you know was the sweetest, most caring and fun to be around guy, not to mention the cutest. We were in the band together about 37 years ago. I'll never forget a funny thing that happened to Phillip even though it wasn't funny to Phillip at the time. Phillip and a bunch of us had gone to our friends place on the Warrior River and he loved the river. One time Phillip brought his boat to the river and we all had had a fun day and we were leaving the river, Phillip hitched his boat up to his truck to head back to His house in Homewood. On the way home Phillip was going around a curve and the boat went flying off the road because he forgot to hitch the boat. We felt bad for him but it was hilarious, but Phillip took it in stride not happy but didn't lose his temper. He was loved by all the band members and there are many great memories with him. I am so glad Phillip had such a loving wife and I am praying for God to comfort you and the rest of his family at this time. Cindy Ellis Edwards

Back in 1977, I arrived at Rhein Main AB Germany. They would assign someone to show the new guys around. Phil was assigned to me. A laid back, super nice guy. We hung out more than a few times. Though I only knew him a short time I'm very saddened by his passing. May God give him rest and may his family have peace. God bless.

Phillip, it has been almost 7 months since you left. I know they say it gets easier with time, but I find that I miss your smile, your laugh, your humor, your piercing blue eyes that give THAT look, your zest for life and yes, even your OCD habits more and more. You left such a void in my life. I know you are no longer in pain, no longer suffering, you are again able to smile and laugh and I know that you are watching over us all but...I wish I could just hold you one more time. I will forever love you!

Marie, Phillip and Marie's two other sons have been on my mind lately. I didn't know that Phillip had passed away. Years ago, we all used to go on trips together...Florida, Tennessee, and Lay Lake. All three boys were so funny and sweet that we all had a very good time together. Marie and Debrah and family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I wished I had known that Phillip was here in my city of Pleasant Grove...I would have looked him up to say hello. I pray that God is with you, Wanda & Gary Smith

I knew the first time I cut Philip's hair a couple of years ago that he would not only be one of my most favorite customers but one of my most favorite people. He is such agood hearted guy and an inspiration! I love you both, Debrah! If you ever need anything let me know. With deepest sympathy and a lot of hugs ((((((((((((<3))))))))))))

Although I never had the opportunity to meet Phillip in person, (his wife is my best friend), I feel I knew him well. I am so saddened by the loss of such a great man. Men like Phillip are rare, and he will be greatly missed. Phillip, thank you for being so kind to my best friend. Somehow I know you are already busy helping out up there!
