Richard Ball

Richard Thomas Ball passed away November 15, 2012.

He was born in Birmingham, AL on September 8, 1947,

the son of Richard Oakley Ball and Beverly Herren Ball.

He graduated from West End HS and earned an EE degree

from Auburn University. His professional career included

17 years with BellSouth and 28 years in various sales positions,

most recently operating his own business, School Binding, Inc.

Rick was preceded in death by his mother and brother-

in-law, Alan Carl Ehrke. He is survived by his father, his

wife of 39 years, Linda Schnell Ball, daughters Amy

Louise Ball and Wendy Leigh Ball, sister Vickie Shill (Bobby),

sister-in-law Janet Schnell Ehrke, nieces Karen Ehrke,

Laura Shill (Burke Miles), nephew Jake Shill and a number of

aunts, uncles and cousins.

A private family burial service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery.

The Memorial service celebrating Rick's life will be held at the

Grants Mill campus of Church of the Highlands at 3:30PM

on Tuesday, November 20, 2012. In lieu of flowers, the family
