Robert W Hodgkins Jr.

Robert W. Hodgkins, Jr. “Steve”, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023. He was born on January 2, 1956 to the late Robert and Joanne Hodgkins. He grew up in Livingston before relocating to Mountain Brook. Robert was a huge football fan, but his love for Alabama football was like no other. In 1996, Robert met the love of his life, Edna M. Marsh. Through all life’s troubles and triumphs, he always had his good and second father figure “Mr. Jim”.

Robert was preceded in death by his father and mother.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his love Edna Marsh, three step-Children, Tanika Matthews, Tyrone (Janita) Davis, and Niera DeCruz; eight grandchildren: Tanajia, Dejon, Mya, Diamond, Kyla, Crystal, Margues and Narama ; and one great grandchild Kyrie.

Despite being an only child, he was loved by fifteen brother and sister in laws, and a host of nieces and nephews, two who were dear to him, Dante and Monique Marsh. He was also considered family to the associates at Duvall and Associates.

He was truly loved and will be missed greatly.

A visitation for Robert will be held on Wednesday, August 30th from three o'clock in the afternoon until five o'clock in the evening at Ridout's Valley Chapel, located at 1800 Oxmoor Road, Homewood, AL. Graveside services will be on Thursday, Augsut 31st at eleven o'clock in the morning at Brewersville Cemetery, located in Livingston, AL.
