Scott Parker

Scott Weeks Parker, age 59, of Vestavia Hills, AL went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 27, 2022. Scott was born on November 16, 1962 in Birmingham, Alabama, graduating from Vestavia Hills High School in 1981. He was a proud 1985 graduate of Auburn University, where he earned a degree in accounting. He spent his career in the long-term care industry and was most recently the CFO at Wellington Healthcare.

In 1985, Scott married the love of his life Linda Jordan Parker. Scott’s two sons Christopher and Michael were his pride and joy and he considered them his greatest accomplishment.

Scott was an avid Auburn fan and enjoyed playing golf, spending time at the lake or beach, and listening to music. Scott was one of the kindest, warmest, and funniest of men. He had an incredible ability to build lasting relationships and was loved by all who knew him. Scott loved nothing better than getting together with friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Parker, his mother, Brenda Parker and brother, Keith Parker. He is survived by his wife, Linda Parker; children, Christopher (Betsy) Parker and Michael Parker; brothers, Brian (Linda) Parker and Kirk (Julie) Parker; sister-in-law, Laura (Phillip) Speer; nephew, Matthew Speer; and nieces, Jennifer Speer, Katelyn Parker, Rachel Parker, Ashlyn Parker, and McKenley Parker.

Scott’s life will be celebrated at Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church on Monday, January 31, 2022. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations of blood to UAB or Red Cross in his memory or a donation to the Saint Luke’s Foundation.
