She attended Massey Business College. Sue worked in insurance for over 30 years, first at Wynn Insurance Agency and Sevier Insurance Agency, where she retired.
Sue was a kind and generous Christian and was a member of South Haleyville, Fairview, Central and Palisades Churches of Christ.
Sue was preceded in death the love of her life, John, her husband of 50 years. She is survived by her sister-in-law Shirley Bowen of Corsicana, TX. Sue found great joy in her numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Sue also leave behind many beloved friends and neighbors.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 30th beginning at 9:00 am with the funeral service following at 10:00 am at Ridout's Valley Chapel. A private burial will be held for the family.
