Born on December 13, 1947 in Trussville, Alabama, Susan dedicated her life to teaching and nurturing others—both in the classroom and at home. Over the years, she touched countless lives through her teaching, earning the respect and love of her students, their families, and her community.
Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Fulton, Jr., who passed in October of 2003. Together, they raised three sons: Charles R. Fulton III (Campbell), John M. Fulton, and William K. Fulton (Emily), who carry forward her legacy of strength, kindness, and devotion to family.
She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren: McKenzie, Isabella, Ella Clae, Rock, Amelia, Millie, Hollis and Park—each of whom she cherished deeply. Susan is also survived by her sister, Martha S. Ledbetter (Scott), with whom she shared a lifelong bond of love and friendship.
Her presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
