Timothy Dwain Calloway passed away on April 1, 2024. He was born on July 20, 1958 to the late Raymond and Jo Calloway. He attended Homewood High School and graduated in 1976. He was the kicker for the football team and played in the 1975 championship season when the team won its first state championship.
He began working at the All American Insurance Agency shortly after it was created in 1975. He served as president of the agency after his father's retirement up until the time of his death. Tim was dedicated to the customers of the agency and it has remained a leader among independent insurance agencies for 47 years.
Tim was a loving father to Timothy Dwain Calloway Jr. (T.J.) and Adrianne Calloway. He was a loving caregiver for his father. Tim was a lifelong Auburn football fan, avid golfer, grillmaster, and made excellent fudge. He was also enthusiastic about exploring the many restaurants of Birmingham. Tim was a kind and generous friend to many and always had a funny story, joke, and smile for all those around him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Cindy Calloway Davis and Angela Calloway, and his beloved cat Ruby. He is survived by his children, brother Mike Calloway, sister Pam Calloway Blalock, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A reception and visitation will be held at Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood on Thursday, April 11th beginning at one o'clock with a service following at two o'clock.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in memory of Tim be made to the National Alzheimer's Association.
