Mr. Todd Allan Johnson of Hoover, Alabama, was born in Gadsden, Alabama on the 15th day of January 1966 to parents Bobby and Linda Johnson. He passed away peacefully on the 3rd day of September 2019 after a valiant battle with cancer. Todd was a graduate of The University of Alabama and a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. His enthusiasms included BAMA football and the band Phish. Todd was employed for many years at WBRC Fox 6. A job he absolutely loved and a work family he adored.

Todd was predeceased by his father, Bobby Dwight Johnson. He is survived by his mother, Linda Willis Johnson, Aiken, SC, a brother Kevin Johnson and his wife Susan and nephews Graham, Rowan and Oliver, all of Mt. Pleasant, SC.

Because of his generous nature, he donated his body for research, hoping to help find a cure for this dreadful disease.

A Celebration of Todd’s Life will be Sunday, the 15th of September beginning at four o’clock in the afternoon at Ridout’s Valley Chapel located at 1800 Oxmoor Road, Homewood, AL.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in memory of Todd Johnson may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, if so desired.

My sincere sympathy Linda, Kevin, Susan, Graham, Rowan and Oliver. To lose your Son, Brother, Brother in law and Uncle is heart wrenching.
I have no clever, pretty words to say to make it easier for you to accept your loss.
What I remember the most about Todd was his sense of humor! His FB posts were often so funny! All during his illness he continued to make witty remarks. There is a man who valued life. Who laughed even when the going was rough.
I pray that you each hold close fond memories that will fill you warmth and joy. May you be comforted. May you find peace. May you feel God’s presence.
Love to each of you.
Teta

God's speed to my brother. Thoughts and prayers to his family from the Wilson family. Todd and I were both members of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity at the U of A. Lots of memories going way back and many of those revolving around the College of Communications and WVUA - "Bama's Best Rock" radio. Roll Tide brother Todd.

He was a sweet and kind man and our hopes and prayers are for his and his family's peace.

Linda --

I am so sorry to hear about Todd. Although I did not know Todd personally, I feel as if I did as Bobby spoke of him often throughout the years we worked together. Lots of prayers for you, Kevin and family during this difficult time. Hopefully you can find peace in knowing he is no longer suffering and that he has gone to be with his Dad.

Best,

Dear Linda and Kevin,
Todd looks so happy in this photo. I witnessed that robust smile often at Lord of Life. I will remember him just that way and not the warrior fighting the vicious cancer.

May you both find strength in all the heartfilled memories of awesome times you've shared as a family and God comfort you and give you His strength.

Love and prayers,
Lori

We were able to attend Larry's 80th Birthday party and i think that was the last time we saw Todd, He was so filled with joy that his treatments seemed to be working. The Willis family has always had a special place in our hearts. Love and Prayers.
