Trenton Ellison

He was born in Birmingham, Alabama, August 16, 1935. He graduated from Ensley High School in 1953. He earned his degree in engineering in 1957 from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He spent 40 years in the Industrial and Commercial construction industry. During those years he served as President of Associated Builders and Contractors. He served on the Board of Better Basics, Inc. and after retiring he served for several years as interim director of that organization.

He and his family were members of Briarwood Presbyterian Church where he served on several committees including the Building and Grounds Committee. He also served as both deacon and elder at Briarwood.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years Jan Forrester Ellison, two daughters Deborah Ellison Barr (Andy) of Chicago, Michele Ellison Hicks of Birmingham. Six grandchildren, Kendyl, Austin, Carter, Griffin, Reagan, and Ellie. Brother Tony Ellison (Alice) and sister Wynne Ellison Hernandez. Brother-in-law Dixon Forrester ( Mary Anne) and father-in-law Howard Forrester.

Mr.Ellisons funeral service will be on Thursday,Jan. 19,2012 at 2:00 PM at Ridout's Valley Chapel with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery. His family will receive friends Wed. evening from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Valley Chapel.
