It is with deep sorrow and a broken heart that I lost my best friend and wife, Vanessa Van Wezel. Vanessa was born August 9, 1946 in Parrish, AL. She died November 8, 2020 in Birmingham, AL. She was predeceased by her father, Phil White; mother, Alice White; brother, Joe White and brother-in-law, Peter Van Wezel. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Stephen Van Wezel; brother, Sam White of Enterprise, AL; son Jon Van Wezel and grandchildren Will and Lauren Van Wezel. Vanessa graduated from Phillips High School and worked at Spain Gillon law firm for many years.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a contribution to the charity of your choice. We would also like to thank the doctors and nurses at Grandview Medical Center for their professionalism and compassion.
Funeral services will be private for the family.
