William Austin Brown

William Austin Brown, age 35, of Homewood, AL. passed away on July 1. Austin was a courageous warrior who fought his battle with cancer to the bitter end. His positive attitude and selfless commitment to his family and others will forever be an inspiration to all who knew him. He taught us all so much in his very short life. Austin is survived by his wife Mary-Margaret, his children William Slaton and Mary Austin, his brothers James David, IV and Robert Chapman and his parents Janie Cazes and James David, III. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 5 from 11:00-12:30 at All Saints' Episcopal Church in Homewood. Following the visitation a private memorial service for the family will be held in the church garden. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Memory of William Austin Brown to the Neuro Oncology Research Acceleration Fund at the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center or All Saints' Episcopal Church of Homewood.
