Alvin “Doyle” Head, Sr., 75 of Homosassa, FL., died on Aug.19, 2013. Born on June 25, 1938 in Ozello, FL. to the late Riley and Jessie (Harris) Head, he was a lifetime resident of Homosassa FL. He was also operator of his own commercial fishing company and a member of the Apostolic Christian Tabernacle.
Doyle is survived by his wife, of 53 years, Mary Head; sons Alvin Doyle Head Jr. of Homosassa and Douglas Lee Head of Citrus Hills FL.; brother Harvey Head of Crystal River, FL; sisters Karen Howard of Chassahowitzka, FL, Joyce Hudgens of Crystal River, FL. and Barbara Dunbar of St. Pete, FL.; 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 10am on Friday, Aug. 23, 2013 at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa, FL., with Pastor Marcus Rooks Officiating. Burial will follow at Stage Stand Cemetery. Family and friends will be received on Thursday Aug. 22, 2013 from 5pm until 7pm
