Betty L. Bowman, 80, of Crystal River, passed away on Mon., July 14, 2014 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville. A native of Lecanto and primarily a lifelong resident of Citrus County, she was born Feb. 2, 1934 to Miller and Emma (Barnes) Beville, one of four children. Betty served as a cafeteria worker for Crystal River Middle School with over 20 years of service and attended Lecanto Church of Christ. She is survived by her son Claude E. Bowman, Citrus Springs, and grandchildren Eric Bowman, Citrus Springs and Elizabeth Radke (husband Timothy), New Jersey as well as her extended family and many friends. Mrs. Bowman was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Elmer Bowman (Feb. 4, 2006); her daughter-in-law Beverly Bowman (March 19, 2012); as well as siblings Arthur and Gilbert Beville and Eloise Rogers.
