Carl A. Campise, 84, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Fri., Feb. 16, 2024 at his home. A native of Chicago, IL, he was born May 19, 1939 to Anthony and Marion (Scarlotta) Campise, one of two children. As the owner of Parliament Ink Co., Carl was a veteran in the Chicago printing industry for over 50 years. He retired to Homosassa in 2015 from Fox Lake, IL and was a faithful and devoted parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Homosassa. As a young man, Carl was a former Chicago Golden Gloves champion and was a lifelong Die Hard Chicago Cubs fan. Mr. Campise enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball, football, wrestling and boxing, and also enjoyed playing golf. In his retirement years in Homosassa, he was known as the Godfather of the Breakfast Club at Granny’s Restaurant, and to his closest friends, he was known affectionately as “C”. He could often be seen at his friend Bill’s home often for conversation and to clean the swimming pool. Carl enjoyed boating also and as a very social and affable man, wherever he lived, he always found a group of people to gather with every day. As eating was his favorite past time, he was known to enjoy a nice 16 ounce steak or three bowls of pasta on Sunday, or even making homemade ravioli with his family. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his brother Jasper Campise and nephew Anthony Campise. He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Sandra (Johnson) Campise of Homosassa; loving children Debra Campise (Paul Dlubisz), Phoenix, AZ; Anthony Campise (Jacqueline), Rolling Meadows, IL; Morris Campise (Candi), Mount Prospect, IL; Russell Suchala (Eri), Los Angeles, CA and Jennifer Galuski (Michael), Tampa, FL.; grandchildren Nicholas Campise (Morgan), Chicago, IL; Joseph Campise, Rolling Meadows, IL; Cole, Beckett and Briggs Galuski, Tampa, FL; sister-in-law Patricia Campise; niece Maria Campise and nephews, James (Mari), Kelly and Vince Campise and many great nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.
