Vance was a lifelong friend to me and my three deceased brothers. In his pre-teen and teen years he often rode his bike four miles to our small farm north of Homosassa Springs on Saturdays. Through high school we played football, baseball and basketball at C H High.
I will miss his jokes and funny stories in future visits to Homosassa. But his spirit will be alive in our hearts as I share memories of Vance with old friends. My wife Heidi and I send our deepest sympathy to Mary and all of Vance's family. God be with you and comfort you.

I knew Vance only a short time in his last days and it was an honor to care for such a man. He shared stories and his love of family and job in those short hours. Rest in Peace, Vance. I know you are at rest. My condolences to Mary and family.

I am so sorry for your loss. Cracker and my dad have been friends for many years and told alot of great stories. I lost my dad 7 months ago and Cracker spoke at the funeral.. We have lost 2 great men, but I know they are in heaven playing baseball and fishing looking down on their families!! I will keep your family in my prayers.

Our families were connected, but I was just getting to know you. I guess I now will have to wait until I get to Heaven to hear the rest of the stories. Praying for God to comfort the Holland family with His loving arms and fill your hearts with joy and great memories, until you join Mr Vance in paradise.

Vance was always a gentleman. We shared a prom night and some dates as we could have them. He from the West side and I from Inverness. He had a wonderful presence and stability. A kind person.
