Daniel Hoffman passed into the arms of God and the angels on Saturday morning, March 27th under the loving care of the HPH Citrus Hospice house in Lecanto FL. Dan was born in New York City to the late Donald and Lucy (Newsome) Hoffman. Danny moved to Camden NJ as a child, and joined the Camden Police Dept in 1972. He retired in 1997 after attaining the rank of Captain. He continued his education after retirement and graduated from Rutgers University with a Masters in Social work. Dan moved to Florida in 2005 where he continued his counseling practice. He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years Maureen (Willard) Hoffman; Loving father of Gina (Jason) Hoffman;, Anthony (Crystal) Hoffman: Lindsey(Brooke)Hoffman; loving stepfather of Kerry (Ginene) Mahoney and Colleen Mahoney. Dan adored his Grandchildren Cheyenne, Gianna, Joey, Gabe, Lori, Nathan, Ella, Zoey and Rina. Also survived by many good friends and relatives. Dan never lost his sense of humor throughout his battle with Parkinson's Disease and his cancer diagnosis, and he kept on battling until The Lord told him it was time to come home.
Memorial services are Friday April 9th at 11 AM Wilder Funeral Home.........There will also be a memorial service at Falco, Caruso & Leonard Funeral Home located at 6600 Browning Road in Pennsauken NJ on May 1st 2021. Visitation starting at Noon and memorial serice at 1PM.
