David A. Bonta

David A. Bonta, 64 of Homosassa went to be with his Lord on June 11, 2016 surrounded by his family. David was born in Gary, Indiana on May 28, 1952, the son of Domenic and Shirley Bonta. David loved to be outdoors enjoying fishing, hunting, scuba diving, and camping. He also liked bowling and travel. David was a former deacon at the Christ Community Church in Pompano Beach, Fl. and he is a member of the Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church and attends Nature Coast Church. David is survived by his loving wife Sharon, son Jason Bonta and his wife Natalie of Sugar Hill, Ga., daughters Shannon and her husband Derek Lindsay of Canton, MI, Erin Kozak of Las Vegas, NV and Hannah Bonta of Coral Springs, Fl., Two brothers Ricky Bonta and his wife Maxine of Huntsville, Al., Anthony Bonta of Indianapolis, IN, sisters Lori and her husband Chuck Walsko of Spring, TX and Sharon and her husband Bill Gray of Loveland, CO. Four grandchildren, Andrew, Christina, Michael, and Jacob. David was predeceased by his daughter Danielle Bonta in 2008. A gathering of family and friends will be at the Wilder Funeral Home, 4890 S. Suncoast Blvd, Homosassa, Fl. on Wednesday June 15, 2016 from 10 to 11 AM. A celebration of David’s life will follow at 11 AM. The family requests that memorial donations please be made to the Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast.
