Donald E Estridge

Donald E. Estridge, 95, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Mon., June 17, 2024 at HPH Hospice Citrus Care Center in Lecanto, FL. A native of Dayton, OH, Donald was born Jan. 1, 1929 to Elmer and Hannah (Houser) Estridge, one of three children. He served his country honorably and proudly in the United States Army from 1951 to 1952, attaining the rank of Corporal. Mr. Estridge was the owner of IGA Food Liner in Carmel, IN and also was employed in his family’s business of Estridge Companies building residential homes, also in Carmel. Donald moved to Homosassa in 2012 from Franklin, NC and was a member of the German-American Club of St. Petersburg, FL. Don loved camping, collecting vintage cars; was of the Lutheran faith and in addition to his parents, was preceded in death by his two brothers, Paul Estridge, Sr. and Jim Estridge. He is survived by his beloved life partner of 26 years, Doris Haynsworth of Homosassa; three stepchildren, all of Homosassa, and multiple nieces and nephews, all of Carmel, IN. A graveside service will take place on Mon., June 24, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Fountains Memorial Park, 5635 W. Green Acres St., Homosassa with Chaplain Jill Cavanaugh officiating.
