

Donald Joseph Michel, 79, of Sugarmill Woods, FL died Friday, April 16th, 2010. Born in Halifax, N.S. Canada on January 15th, 1931 to Edith Forsythe Michel. Don lived in Massachusetts most of his teen life and graduated from Newton High School.
Honorable discharged from the Air Force and attended the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida and Perdue University in Ft Wayne, Indiana. Retired from Magnavoox
now known as North American Phillips as an Electrical Engineer after 25 years.
Don liked to play golf, fishing and argue with the guys, he belonged to Pine Valley Country Club in Ft Wayne for 25 years and Seven Rivers Golf and Country and Southern Woods Golf Club.
He was a 3rd degree Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by Greta his wife of 58 years; a loving daughter Donna Michel-Dow and son-in-law Russell Dow of Denver, CO; 2 granddaughters Grace and Joy Dow of Denver; brothers David of Washington State and Robert of Walpole, MS; brother-in-law Melvin Deschenes of Hull Quebec and lots of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Phillip and sister Patricia. He will be missed by his family and friends,
A Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, April 22, 2010, at St Benedict Catholic Church, Crystal River, with Fr Ryszard Stradomski celebrant. Interment will follow in Florida National Cemetery. Friends will be received from 5 until 7 p.m., Wednesday at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa Springs, FL. Condolence may be given at www.wilderfuneral.com.
