Donna Jean Reed

Donna Jean Reed, 78, of Crystal River, Florida, passed away on Monday, Aug. 28, 2017 at Cypress Cove Care Center in Crystal River. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and a native of Hartford, Michigan, she was born July 16, 1938 to Robert and Rose (Schultz) Comp, one of two children. Donna’s working life held two facets. In addition to earning a certified nursing assistant certification, she also worked in restaurants for many years and even owned her own restaurant earlier in her life in Hartford, from where she came to Citrus County over 45 years ago. Donna attended the Hernando United Methodist Church in Hernando, Florida and is survived by her children Sherry Knight, Crystal River, Florida and Gregory Davis (wife Paula), Hartford, Michigan; sister Rose Enders of Tennessee; grandchildren Jennifer, Derek, Mary and Jeannette; great grandchildren Sydney, Adrian, Candace and Danay and great great grandchildren Natalie and Braylon, as well as three nieces and an extended family of numerous cousins.
