George D. Valentine Sr.

George D. Valentine, Sr. 68 of Homosassa passed away April 19, 2013 at Citrus Memorial Hospital. A native of Smithtown, Long Island, NY he came to the area in 2003 from Central Islip, Long Island, NY. Mr. Valentine retired from Grumman Aerospace as a Facility Maintenance Supervisor after 37 Years of service. Memberships include St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church, Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge and the Nature Coast Anglers. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Anne. Survivors include his son, George, Jr and wife Michelle of Lakeland, Fl.; 2 daughters, Christine Zlobinsky and husband Yury of Abington, Pa. and Lori Jean Webb and husband Robert of Centereach, NY.; 4 brothers Richard Valentine of NJ, Gerald Valentine of FL, Arthur Valentine of Smithtown, NY and Robert Hering of Calverton, NY; 2 sisters, Renee Eggert and Wendy Waldron both of NY; 6 grandchildren Katrina, George, Geoffrey, Gregory, Emily and Natalie. The Family will receive friends at Wilder funeral Home Wednesday from 2 until 6 PM and A Catholic Funeral Service will follow at 6 PM.
