Geraldine V. Jones, 92, of Homosassa, passed away on Tues., Sept. 3, 2013 at Nature Coast Lodge in Lecanto. A native of Ossining, NY, she was born Feb. 20, 1921 to William and Vera Keene and spent many years in Chappaqua, NY. Mrs. Jones was a retired telephone operator for New York Telephone and moved to Citrus County in 1974 from Cortez, FL. She was a member of both Faith Baptist Church, Homosassa and the Telephone Pioneers. Geraldine is survived by her daughter Karen L. Barnhardt (John), Beverly Hills and her son W. Alan Jones (Susan), Hernando; grandchildren Craig Hughes, Tracey Maniecki, Trisha Harrelson, Katherine Garrick and Joseph Garrick and great grandchildren Jordan, Shelbi, Chandler, Chase, Raegan and Joey. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Walter H. Jones, on Jan. 28, 1985. Funeral services will be held on Sat., Sept. 7th at 4:00 P.M. at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa.
