Grafton T. "Pete" McCallum

Grafton T. “Pete” McCallum, 76, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Sun., May 5, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. A native of Akron, Ohio, he moved to Homosassa 34 years ago, he was born Aug. 2, 1942 to Duncan and Arlene (Wiley) McCallum, one of five children. Pete, as he was known to many, was a retired brick and block mason and was the owner/operator of McCallum Masonry. He was an accomplished bagpiper with the Cleveland Caledonians and the MacCallum Highlanders. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life and the mother of his children, Jolene McCallum, in 2013, and a brother Tom McCallum. He is survived by his five children: Patrick McCallum (wife Amanda), Pensacola, FL; Melissa Ash (husband David), Crystal River, FL; Danelle Baker (husband Greg), Dunnellon, FL; Tracy Branch (husband Johnny), Ocean Isle Beach, NC and Kelly Ewers (husband Mark), Fredericktown, OH; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; brothers Richard, Patrick and Denny McCallum and sister Mary, all of Akron, Ohio and he was a friend of Bill W. Services will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. from Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa, FL. Friends will be received from 10:00 A.M. until time of service.
