Helen K Olson

Helen K. Olson, 90, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Thurs., Feb. 8, 2024 at HPH Hospice Citrus Care Center in Lecanto, FL. A native of Queens, N.Y., she was born Oct. 10, 1933 to John and Agnes (Dugan) Kelley, one of three children. Helen moved to Homosassa seventeen years ago from Biloxi, MS and was of the Roman Catholic faith. Mrs. Olson loved being a part of the Stonebrook Ladies Luncheon Club and loved to knit, crochet, color and also enjoyed playing cards with her family. Helen’s perfect day would certainly include riding around daily in her cherry red golf cart greeting all of her neighbors. Then she would knit and watch old TV shows or movies. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her two husbands Carl (Frank) Olson and Joseph Dunn; son John and daughter Catherine; her brother John Kelley, and her brother-in-law Tom Connelly. She is survived by children Ellen of Homosassa; Joanne (husband Thomas) of Bronx, NY and Homosassa and Joseph Dunn, also of Homosassa; granddaughter Heather; sister Joan Connelly of West Babylon, N.Y.; niece Nancy (husband Tom); great nieces Collett and Emma, and her beloved constant companion; her Shih Tzu “Buffy”. Mass of Christian Burial will be announced for a future date at St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Lecanto, and will be seen at www.wilderfuneral.com when the date is available.
