Herbert F. Fallon

Herbert F. Fallon, 84, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Mon., Feb. 10, 2014 at Hospice House in Lecanto. A native of Haverill, MA, he was born Sept. 19, 1929 to James and Delma Fallon, one of three children. Herb, as he was known to many, was a machinist by profession and retired from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, NH, where he spent 20 years as a shipfitter, building submarines for the U.S. Navy. He moved to Homosassa 20 years ago from Apopka, FL and was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Fallon leaves behind his loving wife, Jessie A. Fallon of Homosassa. They would have celebrated 63 years of marriage on Feb. 24th. Herb is also survived by his daughter Elizabeth “Betty” Grant, also of Homosassa; son Fred Fallon, Epping, NH; brother Wilfred Fallon, Portsmouth, NH: sister Margaret Bein, Brookville, FL; grandchildren Erick Fallon, Rochester, NH and Tyna Devine, Cartersville, GA and great grandchildren Joshua and Dillan Devine, Cartersville, GA. Services and interment are private. Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa.
