Irene Jacoby, 98, of Brentwood Independent Living, Lecanto, Florida, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016. Born Aug. 13, 1917 in Peekskill, New York, daughter and one of three children to Charles and Mary (Shock) Borecky. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 67 years, Jim Jacoby, in 2010 and two siblings, Charlie Borecky and Florence McGuire. Irene moved to Citrus County ten years ago and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Beverly Hills, FL and is survived by son Jay Jacoby (wife Lorraine), Crystal River, FL; daughter Jeri Brown (husband Gary), Peekskill, NY; son Jon Jacoby (wife Patty), Montrose, NY; grandchildren Jill, Jeffrey, Jerrod, Christopher, Michael, Jeff and Jason and ten great grandchildren.
