

James F. “Jim” Clements, SFC, U.S. Army (ret), 89, of Homosassa, FL., passed away on Wed., Nov. 19, 2014 at Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville. A native of Washington,DC, he was born March 29, 1925 to James and Clara (Weaver) Clements, one of two children. Mr. Clements moved to Homosassa in 1992 from Lanham, MD and was was a retired U.S. Postal employee serving primarily the Hyattsville, MD area. Jim served his country in the U.S. Army for over 20 years during WWII and in the 3rd Infantry Division during the Korean War. He also served in the DC National Guard. Mr. Clements was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Sugarmill Woods Country Club, Garden Club, and was a member of the Sugarmill Woods Crime Watch for over ten years. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ruth G. Clements, Homosassa; daughter Brenda C. Jones (husband Bill), Stanardsville, VA; daughter Doreen D. Robey (husband Butch), Mechanicsville, MD; daughter Jennifer G. Dubuisson (husband Nick), Slidell, LA; grandson Kevin Jones (wife Andrea), Arlington, VA; granddaughter Erin Barnes (husband Jimmy), Mechanicsville, MD; grandson Jason Robey, Los Angeles, CA and grandson Christopher Avery (wife Jessica), Ponchatoula, LA as well as great grandchildren Lydia, Sydney, Conner, Haley, Jack, Riley, Madalynn, Dominick, Aurora and Adrianna. Mr. Clements was preceded in death by a brother, the late Jack Clements. Friends will be received on Tues., Nov. 25, 2014 from 10:30 A.M. until 12:00 noon at Wilder Funeral Home, where a chapel service will take place at 12:00 noon with Rev. Harold Summers officiating.
