Janet Valentine

Janet Valentine, 87, of Largo, Florida and formerly Crystal River, Florida, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Largo Medical Center. A native of Clifton, New Jersey, she was born May 21, 1927 to Stanley and Carrie (Watt) Valentine, one of four chidlren. Mrs. Valentine was a retired secretary for the State of New Jersey and moved to Crystal River in 1989 from West Milford, New Jersey. She then relocated to Largo in 2002. Janet is survived by three children: Tom Valentine and his wife Mary, Richmond, Texas; John Valentine, Spring Hill, Florida and Richard Valentine of New Jersey; grandchildren Bryan, Barry Jr., Jessie, Lauren and John IV and eight great grandchildren and niece Doris Platt of Largo. Mrs. Valentine was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, John Wynn Valentine, on June 16, 2005; a son, Barry Valentine, and her three siblings as well as a nephew-in-law, Doug Platt.
