Jeanne Seymour Rooney

Jeanne Seymour Rooney, 90, of Homosassa, Florida, passed away on Nov. 21, 2019 at The Grove Health and Rehab Center in Hernando, Florida. Jeanne was born March 20, 1929 in Marlborough, Massachusetts and was a retired bookkeeper for the Sheraton Corporation. She moved to the St. Petersburg, Florida area in 1965 from Morristown, New Jersey and to Homosassa in 1995 with her beloved late husband of 64 years, James J. "Chick" Rooney, who preceded her in death on Nov. 4, 2011. Jeanne was of the Roman Catholic faith and was also preceded in death by a son, Daniel Rooney. Mrs. Rooney is survived by her son Michael Rooney (wife Echo), Homosassa, Florida and grandsons Andrew and Sean Rooney. A Catholic Prayer Service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa, Florida, with Fr. Greg Andrews officiating.
