Missing you at Easter and remembering you on the 18th  your birthday with Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel.  You are always in our hearts and we speak of you often.

Our deepest sympathy to the family. We always enjoyed Len & Jennie's visits to Milnesville, PA in the "good old days".  We always had a lot of good times together with the Moran family.

We have many fond memories of both Jennie and Len Moran.  They were our dear friends and good neighbors, while they were in Old Bridge, N.J.  Our thoughts and prayers go to all her family, whom we know she loved dearly.  Jennie will be missed and may she rest in peace.  Chet and Grace George

Our memories go back to Colonia, Old Bridge, Florida, our home in Scotch Plains, Secaucus and finally Totowa. We shared laughs and great conversations about Florida, family, candy making and great (Italian) meals. We will miss our Friday and Saturday visits for mass and lunch and sharing Facebook pictures of your beloved family enjoying their vacations.

Our memories are many and sweet  we cannot remember Aunt Jennie without also remembering the great meals she took such delight in preparing.  When she and Uncle Lenny stayed with us, how great it was to come home from work to the wonderful smells of a culinary surprise she made for dinner.  Music would be playing, Uncle Lenny had the Christmas tree lights on and the table was set.  We were ready for a delicious meal with our favorite Aunt and Uncle.   One year she was staying with us  there was very little food in the kitchen as we hadn't gone shopping. Aunt Jennie took pasta, fresh tomatoes and whatever else she could find in the cupboards and made the most delicious cold pasta salad with fresh basil. We enjoy that recipe to this day.
Aunt Jennie's favorite collectible was Wedgewood blue and white Jasperware.  We would search through flea markets and antique malls finding pieces to add to her collection.  She loved using her holly pattern Lenox Christmas China and we surprised her for years by adding a serving piece as her Christmas present. She displayed them in the beautiful wooden china closet her father had made as a wedding present.  She loved blue and white toile prints with the 19th century couple lounging under willow trees; we delighted in finding little gifts in that pattern for her.    She enjoyed going to the St. Clare's Harvest Festival in Denville near us. Held on the grounds of an old estate, there were vendors, crafts, books and much more with Oktoberfest music and food.  Aunt Jennie remembered we love red cardinals and found an antique chalk ware one which sits in our kitchen. She enjoyed many crafts; one year, cloth decoupage on clear class plates became a favorite of hers.  We have a beautiful glass plate with red cardinal material she made for us and when she had difficulty find the right clear glass plates, we would find them in Jersey and ship them to Florida. 
We were eager listeners as she shared her stories of the good old days; as a young woman, going to the movies with her aunt who was more like a sister.  Her parents and sisters taking a long ocean voyage back to Italy for a visit to the family where all of her roots were from.   She worked for Mackay Radio and met her future husband, Leonard Moran,  who she often said never had a good Italian meal until she cooked it for him.  Everyone enjoyed her home-made candy that she made into a mini-career; Christmas Santa chocolate lollipops and every Christmas decoration made in chocolate you could think of and lovingly decorated. Easter  and Halloween candy and everything in between.  
We spent many hours with Aunt Jennie at Little Sister of the Poor just visiting or enjoying the activities they provided. The annual family barbecue and Christmas family dinner.   Celebrating her birthdays, attending Mass and one special Mother's day for her 85th birthday, getting her to the Bethwood for Mother's Day brunch.  She was truly Queen for the Day.  Listening to all the places she went while she was at Little Sisters, bus trips up to West Point, Bear Mountain, boat trips in Toms River and shopping trips. She loved her costume jewelry and for every holiday, we would find necklaces that lit up and flashed she would always be the belle of the ball.  She enjoyed reading, especially Mary Higgins Clark and  ; we always made sure she had the latest books they wrote for her to read.   
You cannot remember Aunt Jennie without remembering the love she had for her husband Lenny. Lenny brought his bride a Poinsettia every year for Christmas.  After he was gone, we had the largest Poinsettia the local Florida florist had delivered to her, all decorated in Christmas ribbons every year until she left Florida.  There was  such pride in her voice when she spoke of her beloved daughter, Elizabeth.   What fun we all had, along with Aunt Jennie's parents, attending Beth's graduation from Ursinus College after a year of studying in Paris.  The speaker was President Eisenhower's grandson, David who married President Nixon's daughter. How impressed we all were that such an important person was giving the Commencement address.  Aunt Jennie marveled at Beth striking out, with an independence she never felt she had, to become a world traveler.   How thrilled she was when Beth met the love of her life, Piotr and they married.  Her grand-daughters, Annabel and Erin, were the joy of her life.  Her eyes would light up whenever she talked about them.  And she loved sharing stories of the year Beth and Piotr took her on a European trip that included going back to Italy to meet relatives.
Aunt Jennie taught us many life lessons and we are better people because she shared them with us.  We loved her dearly and we  hold our memories and all of the time we spent with her in our hearts.  It has been said to live in hearts you leave behind is not to die.  When we spoke, we always ended the conversation with we love you and she would say, I love you to the moon and back.   Rest in peace Aunt Jen; you have touched many people's hearts and we shall remember youto the moon and back.

Beth, Peter, Anabel and Erin,
 We were so saddened to hear of our sister Jennie's passing. We loved 
her dearly. We have many fond memories of her living here in Sugarmill Woods 
across the street from us for so many years and we missed her when she left.
