

JoAnn Rice Davis, 91, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Tues., Nov. 11, 2025 at home. A native of Ashland, KY, she was born Jan. 28, 1934, to William and Virgie Lee (Osborne) Rice, one of two children. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, she moved to Largo, Fl from Cincinnati, OH in 1978, living also in Tennessee and North Carolina during retirement years, then finally relocating to On Top Of The World in Ocala, FL in 2003, with her beloved late husband of 57 years, Victor Davis, who passed away in 2011. Jo Ann then moved to her final residence in Homosassa in 2019. Mrs. Davis was of the Baptist faith and had most recently attended Oakwood Baptist Church in Ocala until she was no longer able to attend on her own. Jo Ann’s perfect days earlier in her life involved reading and crafting; when she lost her sight, she enjoyed listening to religious broadcasts on the radio and television. In addition to her beloved husband Victor, and her parents William and Virgie Lee, who passed in 1987 and 2011, respectively; Jo Ann was also preceded in death by a son, Mike Davis, who passed away in 2018. She is survived by her children: Paula Jean Spivey (husband Mark), Oolitic, IN; Roger Davis (wife Kathy), Homosassa, FL and Craig Davis (wife Kim), Kennesaw, GA; grandchildren: Kristen Jones (husband Tim), Lake City, FL; Casey Woods, Weeki Wachee, FL; KelliAnne Woods (fiancé Johnny Goss II), Vallonia, IN; Charlottte Woods and Samuel Horen, both of Oolitic, IN; Leah Kilgore (husband Jeremy), Warsaw, IN; Janna Hope Davis, Safety Harbor, FL; Joelle Seis (husband Joshua), Homosassa, FL; Andrew Davis, Dayton, OH; Ben Davis (wife Heidi), Kennesaw, GA; Kayla Davis, Fort Collins, CO; Stewart Davis, Portland, OR; and Abigail Davis, Kennesaw, GA; great grandchildren Tyler Martin (wife Keiko), Lake City, FL; Victoria Martin, Tampa, FL; Emma Miles, Tampa, FL; Thea and Ella Woods, both of Weeki Wachee, FL; Maggie Woods and Jersie Dearborn, both of Oolitic, IN; Zoe and Avery, both of Warsaw, IN; Jadyn, Jesse, Jenelle and Journey, all of Homosassa, FL; April and Adeline Davis, both of Kennesaw, GA; great great grandchildren Aria and Winter Martin, both of Lake City, FL and Cassidy Martin, Noah Ruiz and Camille Woolshlager, all of Tampa, FL., as well as Jo Ann’s sister, Donna Carr, Lecanto, FL.
